Avanti Fontana’s attending the Engaged Scholarship session in the Academy of Management 2007 Annual Meeting and her meeting with the author, Professor Andrew Van de Ven, inspired her to create sharing sessions on Engaged Scholarship in nine consecutive sessions, started in September 2007.

Nine Sharing Sessions on Engaged Scholarship (SSES) have been held at FEUI Doctoral Program in Management, as informal sessions initiated and faciltated by Avanti Fontana. The SSES’s participants were doctoral students of the program. The sessions were held in FEUI Salemba Campus and Depok Campus. The sessions were designed by following the chapter composition in Van de Ven (2007):
